Balvatika History

Balvatika owes its existence to a benevolent, large hearted philanthropist, Seth Hansraj Morarji & his equally noble wife Bai Kabibai. The generous Seth Hansraj Morarji & pious Bai Kabibai donated their entire savings & property for the welfare of the children. A trust was formed in the year 1930 with this money and bequeathed property namely Bai Kabibai & Hansraj Morarji Charity Trust. It was stipulated that, the trust would run a Public School. Hansraj Morarji Public School Campus materialised in 1939 when Dr.K.M.Munshi, the then Home Ministry of Bombay (as Maharashtra State was then known) and chairman of Bai Kabibai and Hansraj Morarji Charity Trust, secured for the school a large plot of land measuring about 120 acres at Andheri. A big plot of land was later taken over by the Government for locating a wireless station. The school now has a sprawling campus of 28 acres.

The campus is spread over acres of greenery. The vibrant campus display a fine blend of vast open spaces for Sports activities and architectural brilliance combined with natural beauty. It is perfect for an environment of learning, away from the hustle and bustle of the congested suburb of Andheri.
